Crew of the USS Nelson
(in alphabetical order)
Callahan, Harriet - Lieutenant, UFP Marines, Human - Beneath the attractive blonde exterior is the hardest, toughest, meanest slice of grunt to ever sling a disruptor. Harriet Callahan has served four tours of duty since the age of 19 and worked her way from enlisted private to officer. She’s served with Wolfe and Provix since the Klingon-Federation War and earned three commendations for bravery during the Battle of Betazed.
Decker, Martin - Ensign, Starfleet, Human - Great, great-grand son of Matthew Decker and great grand nephew of Will Decker, Martin Decker is the latest in a long line of Starfleet’s “Royal Family”. His career, regardless of what happens in the Tars Tavik, is guaranteed. So, why not have a little fun while he’s out there…
Frost, Paul - Lieutenant Commander, Starfleet, Human - At the twenty year mark, Paul Frost has seen it all…and he’s ready to quit. Four wars, twelve ships, eight captains, and a lifetime of regrets have lead to a burned out old man ready for the twilight years. They wanted to make him a captain after Chin’toka, but he turned it down. There are a lot of places Paul Frost wants to be in this universe, the bridge of a starship just isn’t one of them.
Jimenez, Hector - Sergeant, UFP Marines, Human - A young Marine, fresh out of basic, Hector Jimenez rose to the rank of sergeant in only three years, a new record at Marine Command in Osaka. He views the Tars Tavik as chance to prove himself to the Corps.
Lyons, Sara - Commander, Starfleet, Human - A long career without any glory can wear thin pretty quickly. Sara Lyons joined Starfeet for adventure but she ended up spending twelve years behind a desk. She missed most of the major conflicts of the 24th century, teaching a class on battlefield tactics at the Academy. Her mission in the Tars Tavik is the first and last chance to prove she has what it takes to make it in the field. But the Tars Tavik is no ordinary assignment, there are things in that nebula that would terrify even an experienced command officer.
Muket, Belar - Lieutenant JG, Starfleet, Cardassian - A Cardassian who grew up on Earth, Belar is a skilled engineer suffering from an inability to “take charge” during a crisis. Instead he claims that he wants to let the universe “work it all out” and prefers using the hands off approach when commanding his subordinates. While his superior officers disagree with his informal nature, no one can argue that Muket is an intelligent, often brilliant ship designer and engineer.
Nunnoa, Neri - Doctor, Starfleet, Orion - An outcast no matter where she goes, Dr. Neri Nunnoa escaped a life of sexual exploitation to become a physician and Starfleet academy graduate. But Neri’s career has suffered from continued setbacks because of her outspoken nature and an undercurrent of subtle racism by Starfleet commanders that view all Orions as pirates, criminals, and prostitutes. Her entire life has been an uphill battle against the galaxy’s perceptions of her race.
Provix, Belamar - Sergeant, UFP Marines, Bolian - A grizzled old veteran, Provix is the perfect Sergeant: gruff but understanding and never afraid to get his hands dirty in pursuit of his duties. Strong but silent, Provix has served with Wolfe since he was a green lieutenant on Starbase 43.
Rand, Danny - Chief, Starfleet, Human - Paul Frost’s oldest friend and a former crewman from the Nelson’s glory years. Rand hates the idea of UFP Marines serving on board a Starfleet ship, prays for Starfleet to return to it’s former mission of peaceful diplomacy before it’s too late.
Soprin - Nurse, Starfleet, Vulcan - Walsh’s ex-wife, Soprin genuinely misses her former husband but cannot rid herself of the many negative emotions that caused their divorce.
Walsh, LR - Crewman, Starfleet, Human - Soprin’s former husband, he sometimes has a difficult time juggling ship board romances beneath the watchful eye of his estranged spouse.
Wolfe, Timothy - Major, UFP Marines, Human - A decorated officer and former member of the elite MACO squad, Wolfe is a man haunted by a lifetime of endless fighting. Raised on Quo’nos by a Klingon step father, he was a born warrior who was once invited by his step brothers to join the Imperial Space Navy but he politely declined, hoping to join Starfleet. Unfortunately, his physics grades kept him from passing the entrance exam and he followed the only career his skills were suited for: UFP Marine.
Denizens of the Tars Tavik Nebula

Baran, Hadar - Orion - The local Don of the Orion Syndicate, he answers only to the Syndicate Matriarchs. But the most of those women are light years away on Orion and Nausicaa, which means inside the Tars Tavik he can rule like a king. His own little galactic fiefdom where the Orion Syndicate is the only government and survival of the fittest is the only law. But that may change now that the Federation is moving to reclaim the nebula.
Grox - Ferengi - One of the Bone Lord’s many agents inside the Tars Tavik.

Wei, Huang - Human - A professional criminal and former hitman for the Orion Syndicate, Wei is forced to work for Lyons to avoid a long stretch at Rura Penthe but not even the threat of prison can curb his sociopathic tendencies. There is no telling who Wei will harm in his never ending pursuit of criminal power.
